Joonas Lehtovaara

Joonas Lehtovaara is a Doctoral Researcher at Aalto University, Finland, graduating as a Doctor of Science (Technology) in early 2023. Within the past years Joonas has engaged deeply in construction operations management research and development, exploring how better planning, collaboration, and learning can support the efficient execution of construction projects. In addition to publishing over twenty peer-reviewed research articles on the topic, he has engaged in hands-on implementation of novel operations management practices, yielding results such as radically decreased construction project durations. Besides his academic experience, Joonas has several years of practical experience working within contractor and design consultant companies. Joonas has a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and previous working experience in the pharmaceutics industry.
