Annie Cosgrove (WeWork)
Annie Cosgrove is a Senior Researcher at WeWork. Her team uses data science and social science to better understand how workplaces influence people’s happiness, productivity, and connection to their community. In particular, they focus on the social dynamics of the workplace, the design of the office environment, and finding ways to digitally augment the work of designers.
Annie is trained as an architect and geoscientist. She has a passion for integrating rigorous research processes into the design of physical and digital environments. She received her M.S. in Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2016, where she was funded by NASA’s Illinois Space Grant Consortium to study the impact of urban development on the regional climate of Chicago, Illinois. Annie has taught at Pratt Institute in the School of Architecture and served as a guest lecturer and critic at Georgia Tech, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Parsons School of Design and the Center for Architecture, Science and Ecology. Her research has been published in Nature’s npj Climate and Atmospheric Science.
