Eero Lundén (Lundén Architecture Company)
Eero Lundén is the founder of the Helsinki-based Lundén Architecture Company. The practice engages with contemporary spatial challenges and focuses on proposing new ideas that envision the future of the built environment. Through their work, the office explores the fragile relationship between buildings and the earth’s systems. Their projects range from large-scale strategic urban planning, experimental public buildings and smaller speculative prototypes and installations.
Eero earned a Master of Science degree in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University, New York after graduating as an architect from Oulu University. He has taught at several universities in Finland as well as abroad. In 2018, he was appointed curator of the Nordic Pavilion at the 16th Venice Biennale of Architecture. Since 2015, he has been a teaching in the Urban Renewal Studio at Aalto University. Eero is a member of the Royal Society of Arts, UK.
